Recently, we were in the car for quite a while and the girls had the usual bag full of things to keep them thoroughly distracted. There were books, stuffed "buddies", snacks and colouring supplies. Brooklyn, a great traveller, settled in with a book and Rosie got some markers and paper. It was generally quiet in the back seat so Sean and I spent time catching up, finishing thoughts we hadn't been able to finish yet, listening to music and watching the prairies pass by. From where I sat, I couldn't get a clear view of Rosie but she seemed to be quite enthralled in her art project. When we arrived home, we realised why she was so captivated. She had been colouring "Purple Baby" green and then she had moved on to her face, legs, arms and anything else she could reach. She is very thorough. "Sorry, Mommy," she said with that impish smile on her face. ~Mandy
