We thought that this might be a good way to keep in touch. The inspiration came from our friends the Byes who just recently moved to Perth, Australia. They've got a fantastic blog and we always feel a little closer to them when reading it together. Check it out: http://thebyeblog.blogspot.com.
Maybe the best way to begin is with a few pics of the girls. Every Saturday morning we get up and have waffles together. Mmmm ... so good.
This is no eat-and-run event. We tell stories from our week, debate serious issues, and laugh lots together. Here's Brook ready for some post-waffle confab:

After we're done, Mandy (Mom) and Sean (Dad) linger over tea and watch the girls play in the livingroom. We love this time together. Often we hang out in our pjs until noon. I think we've developed what people call a "family ritual." Wow. Never thought we'd be into developing family rituals ... :-)
