The Graduate

It is the end of preschool for this year and all the kids got together for a little graduation celebration. I am definitely of the mindset that we probably have a few too many graduations. Case in point - do we really need to call it a graduation when a child moves from the first year of preschool to the second? But boy did Rosie have a good time at hers!

Our Graduate
Our graduate doing her own thing

Our graduate quietly pondering all the possibilities of life after preschool . . .
Now I know why they don't generally use cardboard for those hats. Every time the kids moved, their mortar boards would either fall off or fall apart. We ended up with a lot of pictures of Rosie trying to sort out her hat. And the program was a bit long for everyone. Hence the pictures of Rosie sitting rather than standing, but Rosie thoroughly enjoyed herself. Now she is just chillaxing over the summer, she may travel a bit. After that, who knows?

I found it very helpful to take a Gap Year in between the first and second years of preschool. Kind of take stock of your life. Where have I been? Where am I headed? Do I want to scrap out a meagre existence or throw caution to the wind and rack up some serious student debt?

Good advice. We wouldn't want her to rush into anything:-)
